    Coorg is where mornings begin with misty hills, the scent of coffee blossoms, and the distant calls of Malabar whistling thrushes. This serene hill station, often called the 'Scotland of India', is a blend of rolling coffee estates, ancient temples, cascading waterfalls, and a rich Kodava heritage. Life here moves at a slow, soothing pace, inviting you to breathe in the crisp air, sip freshly brewed coffee, and lose yourself in nature’s embrace.

     

    Tucked away amidst lush coffee plantations, The Hosteller Coorg Madikeri offers an authentic Coorgi retreat with a variety of accommodations. Choose from spacious dorms, cozy private rooms, or charming deluxe cottages with private porches, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The outdoor areas are a treat, featuring swings, bonfire pits, and hammocks, where guests can unwind amidst the tranquil greenery.

     

    The hostel’s design celebrates local artistry, with coffee-themed murals, handcrafted Channapatna toys, and furniture infused with South Indian charm. The rooftop is covered with traditional Mangalorean tiles, adding to the rustic ambiance, while the in-house Unbox Café serves hearty meals with stunning green views.

     

    The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travellers. As a brand, we do not recommend families and do not allow all those below 18 years of age to stay with us, nor do we allow admission of kids or infant. Drugs/Substance/Alcohol abuse is STRICTLY prohibited at all our hostels. In case anyone is found possessing or consuming drugs/alcohol during their stay, strict action shall be taken against him/her and the person would be asked to vacate the hostel. For non-refundable reservations, modification requests (not cancellations) can be considered only if received within 60 minutes of the original booking time.. We cannot guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room in the case of 3 or 4 people travelling together. Allocation of a room in a specific private room category may vary depending on availability.. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the management. 100% prepayment is mandatory at our hostels on or prior to check-in to ensure guaranteed booking.. In case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. Note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time. Outside food is strictly prohibited inside the hostel.. Only female guests are permitted to check into the female dorm. If a male guest books this room type, check-in will be denied as per policy. Modifications to the booking are allowed only within 60 minutes of reservation.. All our hostels have dedicated smoking areas. Smoking inside the rooms is strictly prohibited. Discount coupons will not be applicable if the guest requests an upgrade.. The Hosteller Kareri is pet friendly. We permit pets only for private room guests and not dorm bookers. Pets are strictly not allowed in the dorms. Any damages, in case, incurred during the stay shall be attributable to the pet owners.. Guests with local IDs are allowed in this property. Parking is available but subject to availability (limited to four car spaces). Our dorm "Bed in 8 Bed Mixed Dormitory - Shared Washroom" has a shared common washroom.. Heater is available on a chargeable basis from the reception. Towels, toiletries, and locks for dorm rooms are available at an additional charge. Transfers and rentals are available for your convenience on a chargeable basis.. Ironing facilities are available upon request from the reception (subject to availability). Laundry service is available at an additional charge through the Glu app. Hair dryer is available upon request from the reception (subject to availability).. Rains Cafe (not operated by The Hosteller) serves vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian options. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes.. Cafe timings: 9 AM - 2 PM and 6 PM - 11 PM. Café timings may vary. Please check with the reception during check-in for more details.

    • As per the government regulations, every guest above the 18 years has to carry a valid Photo ID. The identification proofs can be Driving License, Voters Card, Passport and Ration Card. Without valid ID, guests will not be allowed to check in.
    • EaseMyTrip.com will not be responsible for the check-in denied by the hotel due to the above-mentioned reason.
    • The primary guest checking-in to the hotel must be minimum of 18 years old. Children accompanying adults may be between 1 and 12 years.
    • Guests will be charged for extra bed, food and other facilities which are not mentioned in the booking and may vary as per the hotel.
    • If an extra bed is included in your booking, you may be provided with a folding cot or a mattress as an extra bed (depends on hotel).
    • Generally, check-in / check-out time varies from hotel to hotel and can be checked on the confirmation voucher, However, for early check-in or late check-out, you are advised to confirm the same directly from the concerned hotel.
    • The room tariff is inclusive of all taxes but the amount paid does not include charges for any additional services and facilities (such as room service, mini bar, snacks or telephone calls). These services will be charged by the hotel at the time of check-out.
    • If the hotel denies accommodation to the guests posing as a 'couple' on not providing suitable ID proof, EaseMyTrip.com will not be responsible for this condition and won’t provide any refund for such bookings.
    • The hotel reserves the right to decline accommodation to locals/city residents. EaseMyTrip.com will not be responsible for any check-in declined by the hotel or any refunds due to the above-mentioned reason.
    • For any modifications, users have to pay applicable cancellation/modification charges. Modified bookings will be subject to availability and may depend on the booking policy of the hotel. The cancellation/modification charges are standard and any waiver is on the discretion of the hotel.
